What can I donate?
We accept cars, trucks, vans, boats, R/V’s and heavy equipment running or not. You will receive a tax deduction as well as a free pickup!
Will there be any cost to me?
There are absolutely no costs for you. Just fill out the
online donation form, or call one of our friendly Operators toll-free at 866-835-KIDS (5437) seven days a week and they will help with your concerns.
Who will benefit from my car donation?
We are the only charity run car donation program that has been helping kids for 27 years in Texas. We are a reputable and transparent 501(c)3 that helps kids with everything from healthcare to hot meals so they can focus on their education.
What do I need to do to donate my vehicle?

Is the DMV notified of the donation?
Cars for Kids is one of the few car donation programs that have a dealer`s license. With this license, we follow each state’s requirements of title transfer notification in accordance with the state’s laws.
How much can I deduct from my taxes after I donate a vehicle?
In most cases you will receive the amount the vehicle sells for however, in some instances you can receive fair market tax deduction for your donation. To receive fair market value you must request it at the time of the donation and we will let you know if it is available.
What happens to my car after I donate it?
All donated vehicles will be sold at public auctions. 100% of net proceeds go to the Texans Can! Academies..
What if I cannot find my title?
No problem, if you are unable to locate your title please call us at 1-866-835-KIDS. Our staff can help you with the information you need to get your title.
How long will it take to pick up my vehicle?
We can pick up your car same day or next day, whichever is better for you. Please let us know as we are honored to have you want to donate to help our kids.
How will the car be picked up?
We will send a professionally licensed, bonded and insured tow service to the location of the vehicle.
Where do you pick up cars?

Does the vehicle title get transferred out of my name?
Yes. Texans Can is just one of a few car donation programs that has a dealer`s license. With this license, we are able to transfer the title out of the donor`s name in accordance with the state laws.
Where does my car go after I donate it?
Depending on the condition of the vehicle we will either use internally for the non profit or the cars will be sold at public auctions. 100% of net proceeds go to the kids.
